Society!
Southern States Paranormal Research Society, or S.S.P.R.S. for short, was founded seven years ago
in 2002 by a group of individuals who's goals were to seek answers to their personal experiences with unknown phenomenon that
changed their lives.
Over the years, we have grown now to a fully fledged investigation and research team dedicated to
the investigation of claims of paranormal activity in relation to ghosts and hauntings in the Southeastern United States,
specifically in East Tennessee region.
Our methods are objective in nature, using equipment such as audio recorders, cameras and energy meters
to attempt to verify any type of physical affects a paranormal experience may have on the environment, and thus document those
effects to the end of firmly establishing if there is indeed survival of the mind and personality beyond physical death; in
doing so, we aim above all to help the living, or those left behind, who feel they have experienced something that cannot
be explained and provide for them what may be the last arm of support in a time of their lives where they have no where else
to turn to.
If you feel you have experienced a paranormal experience or feel that you are living in home or working
in a business where you feel there is paranormal activity and you would like to have an investigation performed, please see

Ghost Hunting 101: (Coming 2010):
SSPRS is currently in the planning phases of launching a project aimed at helping new and seasoned
teams and investigators learn to better investigate the paranormal and help newer groups get established in our area through
education, inter-group team work, hands on work shops, seminars and more! We really want to have the TAPS Family motto alive

Next Halloween, SSPRS hopes to combine the best in the spooky, kooky and all together creepy with true community spirit and
have the greatest haunted house East Tennessee has ever seen! We are currently working to find charities that are in need
fo donations and funding becuase we are looking give 90% of the money earned to the people who are in need of the help most
of all.

If you have a paranormal team in the United States or the United Kingdom, and you wish to be an SSPRS Affiliate, let
us know!
Simply remember that only teams that have the following qualify for SSPRS Affiliation through our Banner Exhange:
*at least one year of active service, a verifiable website presence
(MySpace's Do NOT count).
*at least one residential case (team member's homes do not count)
*two references, one of which must be a former client. (these WILL be contacted
so be sure to get permission from the client/person first!)
*the founders must be 21 years of age and the team members 18 years or
older.
